Four tufted panels create a very tall headboard. This is a good trick for matching the scale of a room with very high ceilings bringing the bed up to chandelier height. Similarly when confronted with the vast spread of concrete and high walls in this loft an attention-grabbing headboard keeps the bed from getting lost and looking puny. Adding sconces over the matching nightstands visually extends the width of the bed. Together these moves create one big piece that can stand up to the scale of the room.
These upholstered wall panels create a headboard that draws the eye up to the contemporary tray ceiling. This room is very neutral and modern but the soft tufting and the enveloping edges of the headboard add softness and comfort. An accent wall bordered with light extends across the ceiling and becomes a dramatic modern canopy.
This tall headboard leaves plenty of room for a seriously designed bedscape: tall pillows shams and a big bolster have plenty of room and a strong backdrop. This Tall Boy stands proudly between two tall floor lamps. The combination is such a smart solution — it keeps the floor clear and clean while providing a shelf for reading materials and an alarm clock.
